Common questions about Leapwire. Didn’t find an answer? Email us — we read every message.

Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Everything works offline — you can play in airplane mode.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device only. It is not uploaded anywhere.
Will I lose progress if I reinstall?
Yes. Uninstalling removes all local data, because nothing is stored on servers.
How do I play Leapwire?
Press Play on the Run tab and the runner starts moving on its own. Tap anywhere on the field to leap over the spikes on the wire. Touch a spike and the run ends; tap Again to start a new run.
How does the mid-air leap work?
While the runner is in the air, tap once more for a second leap. You get one extra leap per jump, then you need to land. Use it for twin spikes and tall spikes.
Why does the game get harder?
Every 15 seconds the wire speeds up, so spikes arrive sooner. The first 150 meters are single spikes only, as a warm-up.
What are marks and where are my past runs?
Each run that crosses a new hundred meters unlocks a mark, from 100 m to 1000 m (ten in total). The Records tab shows your marks and your last 30 runs with distance, jumps, duration, top speed and date. Tap any run to see its details.
How do I reset my progress?
Open About (the "i" icon on the Run tab) and press and hold "Hold to reset progress" for two seconds. This clears your best distance, marks and run history on this device. All data is stored only on your device, so deleting the app also removes it.
